The past year has seen several creperies open in the St. Louis area. Here are three new spots to check out.

Crepes and Treats
Originally operating out of Urban Eats, Crepes and Treats has opened a brick-and-mortar location on Cherokee Street. Their menu features plenty of sweet and savory options. For breakfast, they offer crepes inspired by cinnamon rolls, banana cream pie and apple pie, along with more traditional offerings like fresh fruit. On the savory side of the menu, customers can order crepes filled with chorizo, cheese and egg; or Black Forest ham, brie and berry sauce. Outside of crepes, the restaurant offers a selection of breakfast sandwiches. A constant list of off-menu items is updated regularly on their Facebook page. If you pop in at the right time, you might be able to snag a blueberry muffin, a panini or a scoop of frozen custard.

French Creperie
French Creperie in Chesterfield aims to put the French history of crepes at the forefront. The menu of sweet and savory options are all listed under French names, some traditional like Jambon et Fromage (ham and cheese), others a little playful like Le Saint Louis, a crepe filled with smoked barbecue pork and mozzarella. Some sweet highlights include the Je T’Aime, a crepe filled with peanut butter, jelly or nutella and topped with powdered sugar and whipped cream, and the L’amour with cinnamon sugar butter, powdered sugar, whipped cream and caramel. While the food menu offers strictly crepes, the drinks menu features L’or coffee, a popular brand in France, Ghirardelli hot chocolate, mimosas and wine. For those with gluten allergies, buckwheat crepes are available upon request.

Crepes & Cones (known until this week as Oh! Holy Crepes) offers a succinct menu of signature crepes, ice cream and other desserts as part of the Soulcial Kitchen Campus in Swansea, Illinois. Sweet crepes can be filled with nutella, preserves, biscoff spread and fresh fruit. Savory crepes on offer are filled with ham, cheese and their signature secret house sauce.
