Editor’s note: This event has been postponed due to a heat advisory. Please stay tuned on saucefoodtruckfriday.com, as well as our Facebook and Instagram, for updates on the reschedule date.

The fifth Sauce Food Truck Friday of the season will take place at Tower Grove Park from 4 to 8 p.m. on July 28. This event features the Food Truck Friday debut of Sugaree Shaved Ice, a perfect treat to help you beat the heat (although with the vast amounts of shade in the park, it shouldn’t be too hot). Here are five of the trucks that will park it this week.

Duchess Rose Royal
Known for their American comfort food, Duchess Rose Royal will be serving several types of loaded fries, including garlic chicken Parmesan, Parmesan truffle, and nacho fries. They’ll also have beef and chicken Phillies, along with a chicken gyro. For their vegetarian and vegan options, vegan nacho fries and a cauliflower gyro will also be available.

Mr. Papas 2 Go
Keeping it simple with some delicious loaded baked potatoes, Mr. Papas 2 Go will be providing its limited but stellar menu of chicken teriyaki, mac and cheese, Philly cheesesteak, and chicken fajita loaded potatoes. A vegan loaded potato will also be served.

Tuk Tuk Thai
With a full menu of authentic Thai food, Tuk Tuk Thai will have a variety of chicken dishes, including Thai-braised, sweet and sour, sesame, and spicy kimchi chicken, along with Thai chile tofu as entrees. Sides include spring rolls, Thai dumplings and crab Rangoon. Thai iced tea will also be served.

Jive Turkey
Known for their delicious and savory barbecue, Jive Turkey will have both beef and turkey burgers, rib tips, and smoked chicken wings in regular, hot honey and lemon pepper flavors. Don’t miss their smoked turkey legs, which are so tender that the meat falls off the bone.

Sugaree Shaved Ice
Sugaree Shaved Ice will be offering a full list of flavors in 12-ounce cups, including blue and pink cotton candy, tiger’s blood and wedding cake, with toppings such as peach rings, marshmallow fluff, and sour gummy worms available as well. Sugar-free and novelty flavors will also be served.

In addition to the food trucks, there will be plenty of alcoholic beverages for sale, including frozen drinks from Narwhal’s Crafted, along with beer from Schlafly and 4 Hands Brewing Co. Additionally, a duo billing themselves Phree Wrider (Phil Wright and Cree Rider) will be performing live music.
