Dewey’s Pizza, the Cincinnati-based company that doesn’t taste franchise, opens its fourth St. Louis restaurant today at 11 a.m. in Webster Groves (122 E. Lockwood Ave.). We think that now brings the number of pizzerias in the area to about 5 million. Not that we’re complaining, because you can never have too many options for a hand-tossed pie, especially Dewey’s Green Lantern (with garlic, mushrooms, goat cheese, artichokes and pesto) or sauce-less Edgar Allan Poe (with kalamata olives, goat cheese, olive oil and mozzarella-fontina blend, all topped with fresh tomatoes and parsley right out of the oven).
