The Grove has no shortage of places to spend an evening, but few offer as many ways to do it as Atomic By Jamo. Since opening at 4140 Manchester Ave. in the former Atomic Cowboy space, the venue has become a cornerstone of the neighborhood’s entertainment scene, pairing concerts and nightlife with a rotating cast of food trucks and pop-up vendors. Now, the venue is making food a permanent part of the equation.

Atomic By Jamo will celebrate its grand reopening on July 8 with the launch of Atomic Eats, a new in-house restaurant developed in partnership with The 5 Senses, LLC, the hospitality group behind Kingside Diner and Herbie’s. The addition brings late-night food service to the complex and transforms Atomic into a true one-stop destination for dining, drinking and live entertainment.

Menu items include fries, cheese curds, chili, short rib sliders, and a variety of burgers – including the Pork & Torch burger featured in Sauce Magazine’s May issue.

The launch also marks a return to regular operating hours. Beginning July 8, Atomic will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m., with the kitchen serving until 1 a.m.

For all the momentum Atomic has generated over the past two years through concerts, dance parties and special events, food has remained one missing piece. Atomic Eats aims to change that with a fast-casual concept focused on elevated comfort food designed for concertgoers, late-night crowds and anyone looking for a meal after most kitchens in the Grove have closed.

The partnership brings together two well-established names in St. Louis hospitality. Founded in 2015, Kingside Diner has built a loyal following through locations in the Central West End, Clayton and Delmar Loop, earning a reputation for approachable comfort food and dependable hospitality. Through The 5 Senses, the group also operates Herbie’s, giving Atomic Eats an experienced culinary team from day one.

The menu will be led by owner Aaron Teitelbaum, Chef and Culinary Director Eric Prophete, Director of Operations Dan Rolf and Chef Jamal Holmes.

“After two years, it feels like we’re finally there,” said Drew Jameson, managing partner of Atomic By Jamo, in a statement. “I tried the Atomic Meltdown Burger yesterday and could have cried. Worth the wait. The Kingside team has the full package and I’m excited to see them shine in this landmark property.”

For Teitelbaum, the collaboration extends beyond opening another restaurant. “We’ve built our business on consistency, quality and taking care of people,” he said. “Atomic brings an energy that’s unmatched right now in St. Louis. Being part of that, and helping fuel it, is something we’re excited about. This is about more than food. It’s about being part of the experience.”

The launch also reflects Atomic’s broader ambition to operate as more than a concert venue. The complex now includes Atomic Pavilion, Atomic Lounge, Atomic Garage, outdoor event spaces and Atomic Eats, all working together under a single umbrella. Guests can move between live music, drinks, food and social gatherings without leaving the property.

Helping shape that guest experience is hospitality veteran and Jamo Presents co-founder Dan Jameson, who returned to the company earlier this year after leading hospitality operations for Schlafly.

“Guests shouldn’t have to leave the complex to find a meal,” Jameson said. “With Atomic Eats, they can enjoy great food, drinks and live entertainment all in one place, making Atomic a true destination for both locals and visitors to St. Louis.”

Alongside the restaurant opening, Atomic has streamlined its beverage program with a simplified cocktail menu, adult slushies, Jell-O shots, expanded nonalcoholic offerings and pre-batched cocktails from STL Barkeep. The goal is faster service, broader appeal and more approachable pricing on both major event nights and quieter evenings.

The timing comes as Atomic continues to build momentum. The venue recently recorded back-to-back record attendance nights and has expanded its programming to include everything from touring musicians and local showcases to watch parties, themed events and community gatherings.

Atomic Eats begins a soft opening June 24 during a two-week event schedule that includes Voodoo Wednesdays, a USA Soccer watch party, Chef Chel & Friends, Lougrass Band happy hour performances, Non-Stop Reggae and a performance by reggae legends Black Uhuru.

The official grand reopening follows July 8, completing a vision that has steadily transformed a former industrial corner of the Grove into one of St. Louis’ most active entertainment destinations.
