Balkan Treat Box is known for its takes on Balkan cuisine, like pide Credit: Meera Nagarajan

Three-time James Beard Award nominee Balkan Treat Box has been racking up the culinary honors for years, but if you want to try this Webster Groves favorite, some planning is often required. Snag an open window of precious time during the day for lunch and gear up for a long line snaked through the modestly-sized dining room or resign yourself to an efficient to-go order, especially on a weekend. That changes today.

Balkan Treat Box has announced via Instagram that starting today, Friday, August 2, they will be starting dinner service on Friday and Saturday evenings. Chef-owner Loryn Nalic teased the addition on an epsiode of The Sauce Podcast earlier this year.

“Keep an eye on our dinner specials as we will always try to have a few items on the menu that we usually don’t.” The restaurant said in a statement.

Balkan Treat Box is located at 8103 Big Bend Boulevard. Its new hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
