With the recent closure of Bar K leaving St. Louis dog owners with fewer social spots, Le Méridien St. Louis Clayton is once again rolling out the welcome mat for pups and their owners with the return of its popular “Yappy Hour” series, held every Tuesday evening in August from 5 to 7 p.m. in celebration of National Dog Month. The dog-friendly gatherings take place on the upper level of the hotel lobby, giving both guests and locals a chance to sip, snack, and socialize alongside their four-legged friends.
Each $15 ticket covers entry for one dog and one owner and includes access to the Bone & Biscuit Bar and a playful dog photo booth stocked with props. While guests are encouraged to snap their own photos, hotel staff will be available to assist. A menu of dog-friendly drinks will also be offered, with a portion of sales benefiting the APA of St. Louis. Additional human companions can attend for free but must reserve a complimentary ticket in advance, and the event is limited to no more than seven dogs per week.
Yappy Hour will take place Aug. 5, 12, 19 and 26. Space is limited, and reservations are required. All dogs must remain leashed, well-socialized and stay in the carpeted Hub area of the lobby, in accordance with health regulations.
“We love creating ways for both travelers and locals to enjoy our space with their dogs,” said Danielle Minninger, director of marketing at Le Méridien St. Louis Clayton. “We’re not just dog-friendly; we’re dog-enthusiastic. Yappy Hour is one of our favorite ways to celebrate that.”
