As if we needed another excuse to be bougie AF, Casa Don Alfonso at 100 Carondelet Plaza has just launched a new dish that’s made tableside inside a giant wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano.
Available until Oct. 1, the dish includes housemade tagliatelle pasta, fresh truffles, truffle oil, butter, a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper and, of course, the Parmigiano Reggiano it’s prepared inside. It’s a simple yet delicious dish that allows each of the flavors to shine through.

The chef on duty when you arrive will bring a mobile cart holding the enormous, 105-pound wheel of cheese to your table, then pour pasta water inside the wheel of cheese to coat the freshly made pasta with a simple, cheesy sauce, then top it with shaved truffle and black pepper before serving.
The price starts at $45 for one order with a slight discount if you order more than one dish at your table. It’s only offered for dinner service Tuesday through Thursday, so make sure your reservations fall into that time frame if you’re keen to try the special dish.
