Eckert’s Farm in Belleville is embracing the winter season with a lineup of new and returning activities, inviting guests of all ages to enjoy hands-on learning experiences and seasonal comforts.
If you’re looking to develop new skills, check out the Winter Homesteading Series, featuring workshops on traditional home practices.
“Eckert’s is excited to introduce the Winter Homesteading Series, along with weekly opportunities to relax and unwind at our Cozy Cider Cabin,” said Chris Eckert, President of Eckert’s Farms, in a release. “Our goal is to immerse guests in the timeless traditions of homesteading, offering classes that are both accessible and enriching for all skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a curious beginner, there’s something here for everyone to learn and enjoy.”
The Winter Homesteading Series, hosted in partnership with Hillside Homesteader, includes:

Feb. 26 – 6 to 9 p.m. // Weaving Class

For younger visitors, Eckert’s is hosting the Curious Kids Workshop every Saturday in February from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Designed for children ages 2 through 12, each session focuses on a different theme. Workshops cost $6 per participating child and include:

In addition, don’t miss the farm’s annual winter pop-up bar, The Cozy Cider Cabin, open Wednesdays through Sundays through March 2, a winter retreat featuring an alpine-inspired atmosphere with themed cocktails and seasonal menu items like pretzels with hard cider cheese fondue, Cabin Poutine and the Cozy Cabin Bison Burger.
