Global Foods Market in Kirkwood is once again collaborating with Fennel Cooking Studio in Midtown for the Global Cooking Series, a four-part, chef-led class lineup running from August through October. The hands-on classes highlight the diversity of international cuisine through a local lens, with each chef drawing inspiration from their restaurant’s signature culinary style.

The series begins Thursday, Aug. 21, with Bay Tran of Tree House, who will guide participants through plant-based comfort food with a focus on nutrient-rich, flavorful meals. On Monday, Sept. 8, Alex Henry of Sureste will showcase traditional and modern Mexican dishes using regional ingredients and techniques. Rick Lewis of Grace Meat + Three takes the lead on Thursday, Sept. 18, with a Southern barbecue-focused class centered on smoked meats and bold sides. The series concludes Monday, Oct. 20, when Cathy Jenkins of Cathy’s Kitchen shares soulful Southern and Cajun classics inspired by her Louisiana roots.

All classes take place at Fennel Cooking Studio at 3043 Olive St., a welcoming teaching kitchen owned by Jackie Price that’s designed to make cooking accessible and fun for all skill levels. Each ticket includes a $10 gift card to Global Foods Market, which offers products from more than 50 countries, encouraging guests to recreate the featured dishes at home with authentic ingredients.

Tickets are available now on Fennel’s website.
