Harry Potter-themed Pop-up That Shall Not Be Named Credit: Public School House

Accio cocktail! Who says you have to wait until Halloween to immerse yourself in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter?

Public School House at 5546 Chestnut St. in Cottleville is hosting a series of two-hour Harry Potter events throughout July called The Pop-up That Shall Not Be Named. The venue has been transformed into a wizarding wonderland, showcasing various scenes from the movies and books with the walls, ceilings and patio adorned with witchy decor.

A new specialty food menu features plenty of Potter-themed offerings, including pumpkin pasties, beef Wellington parcels and treacle tart. On the beverage side, you can sip cocktails such as the Gilly Smash Water with 1220 Spirits Encrypted Vodka, elderflower liqueur, thyme simple syrup, cucumber, lime and sparkling mineral water; or the Mythical Margarita, which features a black salt rim. There are also a few mocktails, including a riff on butterbeer they’re calling The NA Beer That Shall Not Be Named.

The series launched last week and continues for the following dates: July 17 to 20 and July 24 to 27. Guests must be 21 and older to attend, aside from the family days on July 21 and 28, when all ages are welcome. Tickets are available online.
