Local burger chain Hi-Pointe Drive-In, known for its inventive and sometimes wacky creations, has debuted a new limited-time menu item, the “Sit. Stay. Slay.” burger, with a mission that aims to help shelter pets find loving homes.
Available through Sept. 30 at all nine Hi-Pointe locations, the burger features double smash patties, cheddar cheese, candied bacon and a peanut butter-banana spread, all nestled on a toasted pretzel bun. Vegetarians can swap in Impossible patties and hold the bacon for a meat-free version.
A portion of the proceeds from every Sit. Stay. Slay. sold will benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis, helping cover adoption fees for animals in need.
“At Hi-Pointe, we’re always looking for ways to serve more than just great food; we want to serve our community too,” said Molly Hitzeman, director of brand marketing at Hi-Pointe Drive-In. “Partnering with Stray Rescue STL means every bite can help a pet find a home – and honestly, that’s the kind of feel-good food we’re all about.”
Stray Rescue, a local nonprofit, works to rescue animals in need of urgent medical care and place them in permanent, loving homes. “We are thrilled to partner up with Hi-Pointe,” said Stray Rescue CEO Cassady Caldwell. “Every animal who comes to us is in desperate need of help, and medical care is expensive. With this great giveback promotion, we can continue saving more lives and find loving homes for every single one.”
