Fresh off the heels of Chicken Out, their new fried chicken joint in the Loop (peep the First Look here), Hi-Pointe Drive-In owners are developing another new restaurant. This fall, a third Hi-Pointe Drive-In will open its doors in O’Fallon, Illinois, at 531 W. Hwy 50.

The restaurant was originally slated to open in late 2018 but was set back after a location change. Now, with a new spot chosen, they’re “hoping to break ground in the next few weeks,” according to posts on their social media accounts on Tuesday, June 23.

Co-owner Mike Johnson said O’Fallon made sense because another of the restaurant group’s locations is already thriving there. “We have a Sugarfire [Smoke House] there that’s great. We love the area,” he said.

The menu will be largely the same as the other two locations, but Johnson confirmed the 3,500-square-foot space will have one new feature: a drive-thru window – the franchise’s first.
