Nicky Slices began on Instagram as a take-and-bake, Detroit-style pizza program during the height of the pandemic and has been growing its online presence rapidly ever since. Now, owner Nick Williams has announced he is opening a brick-and-mortar location for the business on the Hill at 2240 Edwards St.

The announcement came in the form of a reel on Instagram. “Come on into the restaurant,” the video states. “This might not look like much yet, but, in a couple months, you’re gonna be able to come in and get hot pizzas, hot slices, chicken wings, Phillies, everything that you would want – live and in person. No more Instagram’s best pizzeria – the real world’s best pizzeria. … I love the process, I love the journey. We’re gonna show you everything.”

Nicky Slices is known for some pretty wacky weekly specials, which we’re hoping will continue on in the new space. While the interior appears to need much work done before it opens to the public, a beautiful neon graffiti-style sign is already emblazoned on the side of the building. We can’t wait to see the project develop.
