Despite a 0-0 result, St. Louis City SC’s home opener at Energizer Park was anything but dull. Fans packed the stadium, bringing nonstop energy and making their presence felt from kickoff to the final whistle. The excitement extended to the park’s 100% local food program, with many grabbing bites ahead of the match to try the stadium’s new and returning culinary offerings.

The 2025 season introduces four new local food partners: Pappy’s Smokehouse, Damn Fine Hand Pies, Bolyard’s Meat & Provisions and Chicken Scratch. The additions, curated by Chief Flavor Officer Gerard Craft, further strengthen City SC’s commitment to an all-local dining experience. Fans enjoyed everything from barbecue ribs and chicken sandwiches to Buffalo chicken hand pies and colorful City-themed doughnuts.

“Just being in the atmosphere is exciting. To be in the company of all these amazing local restaurants, I think it’s so cool how the park has decided to highlight that aspect of St. Louis. We’re in great company, and we’re really excited to be a part of that whole movement,” says Bolyard’s Meat & Provisions owner Chris Bolyard.

With a passionate and excited crowd, great food, and a local focus, City SC’s home opener proved that even without goals, Energizer Park’s matchday experience remains one of the best in the league.
