Is your Instagram feed a bit lackluster lately? Your slump will soon be over after you make the trek to the radiant Eckert’s Farm sunflower field in Belleville. So don your coordinated outfits and grab your phone (as if you’d ever forget that), and flock to the sunflower fields for the perfect golden-hour photo among the blooms.
Eckert’s Farm in Belleville is kicking off sunflower season, inviting guests to explore two acres of golden flowers, some of which are up to five feet tall. The fields will also be open through Aug. 3, with additional dates to be announced as the season continues.
In addition to the grid-worthy photo ops, Eckert’s annual Sunflower Festival is set for Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 2-3, offering a weekend full of floral-themed fun. Visitors can stroll the farm’s Sunflower Trail (field pass required), book a professional mini photo session ($125 for up to six people), enjoy free face painting at the Cider Shed Pavilion from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., sip sunflower-inspired cocktails, or grab a morning pick-me-up from the Hot Mess Express coffee truck between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Also returning this year is Sunset Yoga in the Sunflowers on Wednesday, July 30. The 45-minute all-levels class begins at 7:30 p.m., following a 7 p.m. check-in at the Cider Shed. After class, guests are invited to take a peaceful walk through the sunflower field and pick a bloom to take home.
