An upscale wine shop is coming to downtown Edwardsville, Ill. Bin 51 Wine & Spirits will open in mid-November at 202 S. Buchanan St., across the street from City Park and in the same shopping complex as Global Brew Tap House & Lounge and Wasabi Sushi Bar. According to co-owner Brian Kuchta, the store will carry wine, beer and spirits, along with custom-packaged cheese flights designed to pair with specific wines and beers. Bin 51 will also have a bar, where eager drinkers can consume their new purchases immediately. The wine selection will be weighted toward organically grown grape varietals produced by small family vineyards that follow sustainable practices. Bin 51 will focus on well-crafted whiskeys and plans to offer wine tastings, classes and live music. Thirsty followers can find Bin 51 on Facebook.
