080510_wineforumEver wonder what restaurant in St. Louis has the most local wines on its list? Or how about which local grape is best to sip during this relentless heat? Soon there will be a place to discuss just such drinking dilemmas.

Pulling from his 20-plus years of experience at The Wine and Cheese Place, where he’s now the manager, local wine expert Paul Hayden is launching a blog that he hopes will give St. Louisans a place to discuss the booming wine scene here in the Lou. Sure there are national forums for pairing a vintage bottle with dinner, but at www.stlwineforum.blogspot.com, Hayden is looking to build a forum where St. Louisans can share excitement about new releases, divulge details of wine dinners around the city and even debate which local wine lists are hitting the mark.

Hayden has made a name for himself around St. Louis, even earning a spot in Sauce’s The List in the December 2009 issue. Known for his ability to make his encyclopedic knowledge of wine accessible to vino lovers of all levels, he has become a well-appreciated – and much sought out – guru throughout the city.

Hayden expects to launch the forum in the next two to three weeks.
