It’s always nice to see local restaurants taking up addresses in spaces formerly occupied by chain restaurants. So we’re glad to see that the space at 4177 Veterans Memorial Parkway, once a Ponderosa Steak House, is currently undergoing renovation to be home to Shamrocks Pub and Grill. No word yet on when Shamrocks will open, but, for now, you can follow the restaurant on Facebook to learn more. Also in St. Peters, Lil’ Mickey’s Memphis Barbecue (named one of our 10 barbecue spots to try back in June) has relocated a few miles east of its original location to 1020 Cave Springs Blvd., in the space formerly occupied by a Taco Bell. A phone recording stated that the opening for the mom-and-pop barbecue joint’s new location has been delayed due to construction.
UPDATE: 12/8/11: Lil’ Mickey’s Memphis Barbecue is now open. Construction delayed the opening of the barbecue joint at its new location in St. Peter’s.
