072611_wineLast week, we learned that Desserts on the Boulevard was headed to the Lindell Apartments at 3949 Lindell Blvd., in the Central West End. Today, The Scoop spoke with owner Deverick Miller, who offered more details about his new restaurant.

The restaurant will be open for lunch, dinner and late-night eats, serving small plates and desserts. Among lunch and dinner offerings, watch for chicken picatta, Mediterranean flatbread pizzas and sandwiches such as a grilled salmon variety. As for sweet endings, Miller mentioned a lineup of cheesecakes and what he called “exotic” desserts, citing Cuban rum cake as an example. Wine will also be available by the glass and the bottle.

Desserts on the Boulevard is slated to debut on September 29. Hours of operation will be
Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and until 1 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. On Sundays, the restaurant will be open from 2 to 10 p.m.
