Randall’s Wine and Spirits, the area’s beloved Toys “R” Us for adults, is opening a new location in West County later this month. As reported by Kevin Cronin for the Riverfront Times, the liquor megastore will make its home at 14201 Manchester Road (at the intersection with Highway 141). The grand opening is set for August 26, but as related by Tony McLaughlin, acting manager of the new store, a soft opening will happen as soon as the store is ready.
The Randall’s empire, voted favorite liquor store in this year’s Readers’ Choice Poll, obviously has a few fans. McLaughlin wanted to assure devotees that the new store will have the same low prices and vast selection as Randall’s other three locations, with around 11,000 square feet of retail space. “This store will have a true tasting bar to do samplings, and there will be more things available [to taste] on a regular basis besides weekend tastings,” he explained. Weekday happy hour, anyone?
Once the doors are opened, hours of operation will be Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.
