When news broke last fall that the South City location of Uncle Bill’s Pancake House would shutter, the community was devastated.

Now, the team behind Garcia Properties, The Golden Hoosier and Bud’s Pizza, are bringing the iconic restaurant back.

“Uncle Bill’s checks all the boxes for us. It builds community, saves important architecture, and we get to host our neighbors. It’s been a community gathering place since 1961 and it’s worth preserving, ” said Ivan and Berto Garcia in a release.

The team plans to bring back beloved menu items from the original restaurant, as well as debut some new offerings. Follow along on Instagram for updates.
