Muddle the gin and blueberries in a shaker.
Add the blueberry syrup and lime juice. Shake with ice and strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with a sage leaf and a quarter turn of freshly ground black pepper.
1½ oz. St. George Botanivore gin
