Tapped is turning out the lights on its pizza and self-pour beer and wine concept at 7278 Manchester Road in Maplewood.

The restaurant’s owners announced Tapped’s impending closure last night on social media. “It’s with a heavy heart that we are announcing that our last day of business will be Saturday May 28,” a Facebook post read. “Over the past five years we have donated over $200,000 to local charities with our Charity of the Week Program, met many amazing people, and have been a proud partner with the City of Maplewood.”

Owners Lindsay and Ryan Reel are seeking somebody to take over the lease on the Tapped space. Email info@tappedstl.com for more details.

Tapped encouraged customers to return for one last meal or self-pour beer before May 28, and assured guests that 100 percent of tips received until closing day will be distributed among the staff. “We want them to have a comfortable sendoff to their next new job venture because they deserve it!” the announcement said. Outstanding gift cards will also be accepted, but must be used by closing day.

Request for further comment on Tapped’s closure was declined.
