Mike’s Hot Dogs has closed after two years in University City
Mike’s Hot Dogs, Soups and Sandwiches, which opened two years ago at 7293 Olive Blvd. in University City, has permanently closed, as reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The restaurant was owned and run by Mike Eagan Jr., who had previously served as executive chef at Cardwell’s in Clayton.
In addition to their eponymous dish, which came in at least 10 forms, including the New Yorker hot dog, the Chicago hot dog, the Old Mexico hot dog and a veggie dog, Mike’s served burgers, sandwiches, chili, gumbo, salads and sides.
Eagan was not immediately available for comment.
