Gewürztraminer has strong associations with France’s Alsace region and Germany. Its regional offspring, traminette, is a hybrid of gewürztraminer and Joannes Seyve 23-416, possessing the same fragrance of lychees and rose petals as its parent but with more peach and apricot flavors. The top-scoring traminette from the 2014 Missouri Wine Competition was 2013 Noboleis Traminette.
