School might be starting again soon, and sure, work never seems to take a break, but summer isn’t over yet. August is full of foodie fun in St. Louis, from month-long specials to annual festivals. Whether you need good food, a fun evening or a packed weekend, we’ve got some of the best options below.
Yappy Hour
It’s National Dog Month, and Le Meridien in downtown Clayton is celebrating man’s best friend this August with a weekly Yappy Hour. Every Tuesday, the lobby will become an indoor dog-friendly destination where pups can mingle, enjoy special treats and celebrate the final weeks of summer. Tickets are available on Eventbrite for $15 per dog, and each Yappy Hour event is limited to seven dogs (so snag your tickets quick). Café la Vie’s full food and beverage menu available for purchase throughout the evening for the dog parents, and each ticket includes access to the Biscuit + Bone Bar, a special dog-friendly menu. New this year is Bark + Accessorize for a Cause. Guests who bring an item from the Brentwood APA’s wishlist can create a custom Au Soleil-inspired resort bandana for their dog using decorative accessories provided by the hotel.
