The fast-casual concept from the team behind Arzola’s Fajitas & Margaritas will bring tacos, nachos, empanadas and more to downtown St. Louis this fall.

The lineup at the forthcoming Wash Ave Food Hall continues to take shape.

Arzola’s Tacos y Más, a new fast-casual concept from the team behind Arzola’s Fajitas & Margaritas, has been announced as a founding vendor of the food hall at 1122 Washington Ave. in downtown St. Louis. The food hall is expected to open this fall.

The new concept will bring Arzola’s Tex-Mex recipes into a more casual food hall format while maintaining the focus on quality ingredients and hospitality that has helped Arzola’s grow to two locations since its beginnings in 2022.

“We’re excited to bring Arzola’s to Wash Ave Food Hall and share what we do with even more people,” owner Ron Webb said in a release. “For us, running a restaurant has always been about more than serving great food and drinks. People remember how a place made them feel, and we want our guests to feel welcomed and look forward to their next visit.”

What to expect from the menu

Arzola’s Tacos y Más will offer a streamlined lineup built around some familiar Tex-Mex favorites.

Traditional street tacos will feature three warm corn tortillas topped with onion and cilantro and a choice of protein, while the Ultimate Tacos will come on flour tortillas with pico de gallo, cotija cheese and lime-pickled radish.

The menu will also include Ultimate Nachos made with house-made tortilla chips, pico de gallo, crema, guacamole, lettuce and salsa; fried empanadas filled with either potato or al pastor; beans, rice and street corn; and cinnamon-sugar churros for dessert. Drinks will include house-made lemonade, Mexican Coca-Cola and Jarritos.

Webb said excitement around the food hall has already begun building before Arzola’s involvement was even public.

“I hear people mentioning the food hall without even knowing we are going to be part of it,” Webb said. “There is a genuine excitement building around what is happening there.”

A growing lineup on Wash Ave

Arzola’s joins an increasingly diverse group of local operators already announced for Wash Ave Food Hall, including Steve’s Smash – Burgers & Fries, Little BAO, Troit, Conefection, Macis’ and 4 Hands Brewing Company.

When complete, the venue will feature eight food-and-beverage concepts from local operators. Beyond the food, plans call for two bars, a PourMyBeer self-pour beverage experience, shared seating, social gaming, year-round programming and an indoor-outdoor space featuring a retractable roof.

The project is being developed by St. Louis-based Oliver Properties and will be operated by FIRETEN Hospitality, with Raineri Construction overseeing construction.

The food hall is part of broader investment and development along Washington Avenue, which has grown into a dense mix of restaurants, bars, apartments, hotels, retail and entertainment. The neighborhood currently includes more than 2,500 apartments, 500 condos, 1,000 hotel rooms and nearly 300,000 square feet of retail space.

For Arzola’s, the new location represents an opportunity to introduce the brand to another audience while becoming part of a larger destination taking shape downtown.

“Arzola’s brings a proven local following, a strong food identity and a real commitment to hospitality,” FIRETEN Hospitality COO Natalie Zabiegalski said in the release. “They understand that the guest experience goes well beyond the food itself, and that makes them a great fit for what we are building at Wash Ave.”

Wash Ave Food Hall is slated to open in fall 2026, with the remaining founding vendors and additional opening details expected to be announced this month.
