Conefection will join the growing lineup of vendors at Wash Ave Food Hall, the new food and drink destination preparing to open at 1122 Washington Ave. in downtown St. Louis. The concept comes from Danni and Marcus Eickenhorst and Jeremy Robinson of HuSTL Hospitality and takes inspiration from many of the desserts that have made The Fountain on Locust a St. Louis favorite.
Conefection is designed as a faster, walk-up take on The Fountain’s ice cream experience, centered around premium Cedar Crest ice cream from Wisconsin, scratchmade hot fudge, fresh whipped cream and colorful flavor-infused cones. The menu will range from simple scoops and shakes to elaborate signature creations finished with warm sauces, candied garnishes, sprinkles and even edible gold dust.
Among the signature offerings is Zanzibar in the Dark, made with dark chocolate ice cream, a lavender cone, scratchmade hot fudge and edible gold dust. Main Squeeze pairs vanilla ice cream with an orange creamsicle cone, sweet orange marmalade and candied orange peel, while Up, Up & Away combines Superman ice cream, a birthday cake cone, marshmallow cream and rainbow sprinkles.
Dairy-free options will also be available, along with build-your-own single- and double-scoop cones and cups, shakes and other classic ice cream shop offerings.
Conefection joins an expanding group of locally driven concepts announced for Wash Ave Food Hall, including Steve’s Smash, Little BAO, Maci’s Prime BBQ and Detroit-inspired Troit. The more than 10,000-square-foot food hall is being developed as an experience-driven dining and entertainment destination in the heart of the Washington Avenue district.
Wash Ave Food Hall is currently targeting a fall 2026 opening.
