Tre Cuori Gelateria & Acai owner Tassia Rezende recently joined us on The Sauce podcast to talk about her family-run gelateria’s incredible run on the world gelato stage, which culminated in Rome with Tre Cuori earning Missouri’s first-ever Gelato World Ranking crown. We chatted with Rezende about her Brazilian-Italian roots, the journey from opening Tre Cuori during the pandemic to competing against some of the world’s top gelato makers and what’s next for the shop. Here, she shares five of her favorite St. Louis spots.
Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria
“I love their Italian-style pizza crust, always-friendly service and how they celebrate seasonal ingredients and support local producers. Their whipped ricotta with fresh figs is amazing, and it makes us so proud to see Tre Cuori gelato on their dessert menu, especially the pistachio, which they serve with their own signature touch of olive oil and sea salt.”
Flower Child
“Fresh, colorful and healthy without sacrificing flavor. Their bowls are always a favorite.”
Phoenicia’s
“Their esfihas and kibbeh remind me so much of Brazilian flavors, and the labneh with pita is delicious.”
Gamlin’s
“I love the vibe, the amazing homemade pastas and having a stylish bar open until 1 a.m., perfect for keeping the night going after a concert. Their beautifully presented affogato made with our Tre Cuori Fior di Latte gelato is also a must!”
Telva at the Ridge
“My new brunch favorite! Rose cappuccino, avocado toast and their pistachio cookie is my perfect order.”
