We’ve got some tasty tidbits about two of the restaurants featured in this month’s cover story, Italian Renaissance. On March 25, Acero in Maplewood will be hosting a wine dinner with Elisabetta Foradori, owner of an internationally lauded winery in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy. Foradori’s Granato, a fruit-laden Teroldego, is a true palate pleaser. You’ll also be able to enjoy polenta with pecorino followed by lamb ravioli, and then sink your teeth into grilled local grass-fed beef served with capers and a Spanish twist: romesco. Call Acero at 314.644.1790 to reserve a spot.
In the meantime, downtown’s Cielo will be tiding diners over thusly: cocoa angel hair pasta with Fontina fondue and black truffle shavings; pan-seared sea scallops in a lobster vinaigrette; pistachio panna cotta served with nougat gelato. This week’s tasting menu sounds delizioso, does it not?
