atlas restaurant in the debaliviere place neighborhood

Atlas Restaurant, located at 5513 Pershing Ave. in the DeBaliviere Place neighborhood, will soon be closing. Owners Dianne and Bryan Carr, who bought the restaurant in 2010, say the last night of service will be Saturday, February 18.

The Carrs, who currently own Avenue in Clayton and are the former owners of Pomme, said they’re shuttering the restaurant because they were unable to come to an agreement to extend the lease.

Currently there are no plans to reopen the restaurant at a new location, though they don’t rule out the possibility. The couple credits the management team of Anna McFarlane and Alberto Ahuatzi with Atlas’ success and helping to make closing as painless as possible

Bryan Carr said that some Atlas employees are expected to transition to Avenue.

“There’s a lot of talent there, and we hope we can bring some of that talent to Clayton,” he said.

Diane Carr said that some Atlas menu favorites will likely show up on Avenue’s bill of fare as well.
