The prolific Gianino family of restaurants, creator of Bill Gianino’s, Frankie G’s, Joey B’s, Frankie Gianino’s in Imperial and Billy G’s in Kirkwood, is launching its newest restaurant concept – a contemporary diner – in Chesterfield. Billy G’s Finer Diner will open later this month at 1772 Clarkson Road. 

In line with Gianino family tradition, the diner will offer Italian pastas and entrees, but with the addition of all-day breakfast and lunch. Classic breakfast staples like an eggs Benedict and Belgian waffles will be served up alongside their more contemporary counterparts, such as a brisket Benedict with sliced brisket, pickled red onion and barbecue-spiced hollandaise, and an apple pie waffle, with Granny Smith apples, spiced pecans and whipped cinnamon butter. The lunch menu includes assorted sandwiches, pizzas, salads and smashburgers. Highlights include a chicken spiedini sandwich, with grilled Italian chicken breast, STL pizza cheese and a garlic butter toasted bun, and the crowd-favorite Billy’s house burger, with American cheese and Billy’s special sauce. In keeping with its diner roots, assorted shakes and floats will be available to order all day. Guests can also choose from a variety of signature coffee beverages or select a drink from the diner’s full-service bar.

In spite of its contemporary twists, the ambiance of Billy G’s Finer Diner is all nostalgia and classic comfort. Diners can choose between leather-encased round-table booths or cushy swivel-chair counter stools for seating, while neon light fixtures and funky chandeliers provide retro mood lighting. Combine this with the Gianino family’s trademark friendly service, and the diner cultivates a unique dining experience while still maintaining a familiarity that will make diners feel right at home in the new spot.

Now having served the St. Louis community for 50 years, the Gianino family of restaurants opened the first Billy G’s location at 131 W. Argonne Dr. in Kirkwood in 2013.
