After working as personal chefs to athletes for five years, co-owners Aaron and Ashley Lyons are bringing their health-focused cuisine to St. Louisans with Community Kitchen, their prepared meal delivery service. The Lyons quietly launched their venture in November. “Our main focus now is to offer the same quality, healthy, but very gourmet meals to the public,” Aaron Lyons said.
Community Kitchen delivers pre-ordered meals three times a week to customers, who reheat them at home. Dishes may be ordered a la carte or with a meal plan. Grass-fed beef is locally sourced from Shire Gate Farms in Owensville, which is owned by ESPN broadcaster and the Lyons’ business partner, Will Witherspoon. Chicken, turkey, lamb and eggs are also sourced from Shire Gate, as well as from other Missouri farms and butchered in-house.
Community Kitchen plans to hold meal prep classes and private events at its Maryland Heights facility at 11424 Dorsett Road in the coming year.
