Always think your sandwiches are better than the next guy’s? Now’s your chance to prove it by entering St. Louis Bread Co.’s Great Sandwich Showdown. Submit your sandwich ideas online and, if your sandwich is chosen as the grand prize winner, you will receive $2,500 and a year’s worth of bagels. In addition, the winning sandwich will be sold in 2012 at all area St. Louis Bread Co. bakery/cafés and a portion of the proceeds from your sandwich’s sales will benefit a local charity.
Entries will be accepted until September 15. In late September, the list of sandwich contenders will be cut to 20, followed by a people’s vote to narrow it down to five finalists. The winning sandwich will be unveiled on October 26 with the help of Sauce Magazine publisher Allyson Mace. For a complete list of rules, or to submit your entry, visit the Panera Bread website.
