You thought you knew Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Vixen, but you’ve never seen them on display quite like this. Right now at The Ritz-Carlton in Clayton, the big guy and his reindeer helpers are featured in merry drinks.
Among the 10 menu options on the December Santa’s Little Helpers cocktail menu, you’ll find Santa, made from Belvedere Vodka, amaretto and cream, bedecked in traditional red and white garb; Comet, who gets a hint of bright blue from a mix of Ketel One Oranje Vodka, Blue Curaçao, white cranberry juice and a squeeze of lime; and Vixen, who is downright snarky thanks to a combo of Chambord, Frangelico and 360 Vodka Concord Grape and served in a crushed peanut butter cookie-rimmed glass. And of course, we can’t forget Rudolf, whose nose is a bright shiny red from Ciroc Red Berry Vodka, plus Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur and White Crème de Cocoa.
When you take the kiddos to see the gingerbread village at The Ritz (the edible creation goes on display Dec. 5), or after you endure a nerve-racking visit to the mall so that they can sit on Santa’s lap, one of Santa’s Little Helpers may be just the thing you need to regain your Christmas cheer. The cocktails are available at The Lobby Lounge in the Clayton hotel throughout December.
