The former Unkle Munkey’s Coin Club in Edwardsville is now the home of Catrinas, which opened on Thursday, Jan. 21.
Diners can grab a seat at one of the 72 tables or booths or at the 30-seat bar.
From left, the mango margarita and Catrinas margarita are made with Tres Agaves tequila and house-squeezed juices.
The guacamole is sprinkled with crunchy pistachios and served with a choice of fresh flour or corn chips.
Creamy, smoky and spicy, the chipotle pasta features tender crisp vegetables and crunchy corn strips on top.
Sweet, citrusy quinoa salad is one of five available side dishes.
Eight taco options are served on house made corn tortillas, including the chicharrón taco with a smear of avocado sauce.
Catrinas offers platters including the enchiladas suizas – three chicken-filled enchiladas, salsa verde with a drizzle of cream and a side of rice.
– Catrinas cod is marinated and grilled then served in a black bean sauce and a dollop of guacamole and crispy corn strips.
