Five Iron Golf, a national leader in indoor golf and social entertainment, opened its first St. Louis-area location in downtown Clayton this week. The 8,300-square-foot venue occupies the ground floor of Emerson Tower at 8027 Forsyth Blvd. and is now open daily from 6 a.m. to midnight.
Designed to appeal to everyone from golf enthusiasts to social seekers, the space features cutting-edge Trackman simulators, certified golf instruction, and a full-service bar and restaurant. Lounge seating, league play and casual dining help create an inclusive, dress-code-free environment that welcomes solo players, families, work groups, night owls and anything in between.
“This isn’t just a place to work on your game, it’s a place to feel at home,” said Carlton Blood, owner of the new location. “Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, hosting a client outing, or dropping in before work, this space was built for you.”
Blood, a Kirkwood native and Mizzou alum, previously worked in finance and project management before partnering with Five Iron in October 2023. He holds a three-site development deal for Missouri.
The Clayton location is designed to adapt throughout the day. Mornings are ideal for solo practice or lessons, with lockers, showers and complimentary beverages and breakfast available for members. Afternoons focus on casual play and lunch crowds, while evenings and late nights bring happy hour specials, league play and a buzzing bar scene.
The venue offers a wide range of group experiences, including birthday and bachelor(ette) parties, family-friendly bookings, corporate events and high-end club fittings with Callaway gear. Semi-private and private rentals can accommodate up to 150 guests. Clinics and leagues cater to all skill levels, and entertainment includes everything from dodgeball games to closest-to-the-pin contests.
To mark the grand opening, memberships are available for a limited time at a discounted rate of $129 per month (normally $185), which includes daily off-peak play, 20% discounts and priority booking.
