Famed Spanish chef Ferran Adrià has co-created a beer – and Modesto Tapas Bar & Restaurant has it.
Inedit, the beer, became available in the United States only in 2009, and Modesto has been working roughly a year to obtain it. At least for now, the Hill restaurant has it exclusively in St. Louis, a source with Modesto said.
Adrià – famed for his deconstructivist-molecular gastronomy techniques at el Bulli in Catalonia, Spain – developed Inedit with Barcelona brewer Estrella Damm. In addition to barley, malt and wheat, its ingredients include coriander, orange peel and licorice.
Estrella Damm recommends serving Inedit, which comes in a striking 750-ml black bottle, in an ice bucket and pouring it in white-wine glasses.
