“Oh, no!” was our response when Joe Zykan of Spudmaster ColossalChips appeared at the Sauce office today. It’s not that we don’t love Spudmaster – dear God, we do – but we have absolutely no willpower against the ginormous, delicious “crack chips.”
But Zykan brought an even harder beatdown: Spudmaster’s new Shazam flavor. Shazam is a little different from the original seasoning; cayenne creeps up on you the more chips you shove in your piehole. So yeah, Shazam may be even more crack-like.
The Shazam flavor, along with Spudmaster’s new no-salt chip, is making its way to many stores that carry the brand, including Dierbergs, Schnucks, Straub’s and Whole Foods. And Zykan tells us that the Bellflower, Mo., facility is hard at work on even more new flavors. Please (don’t) stop.
