St. Louis’ culinary scene is always changing. New restaurants open their doors, old menus get facelifts and classic cocktails get new twists behind the bar. We know that the age-old question of where to eat is never ending, so we’re always trying to find new ways of delivering our recommendations to our readers, whether it’s in the magazine, at SauceMagazine.com or through Facebook and Twitter. Now there’s another way to find out where to dine and drink well around town. We’ve teamed up with Foodspotting, a social media platform for finding must-try eats wherever you are, to bring you dozens of dishes and plenty of great new guides for all your local culinary queries. Long story short: it’s easier than ever to find recommendations for where to eat and what to order straight from the editors of Sauce!
In the mood for a hearty bite between the bread? Check out our Sandwiches guide for 10 must-try versions all around town or our Grilled Cheese guide for our list of local favorites. Looking to impress a new date (or maybe apologize to an old one)? Our Fine Dining guide will give you plenty of splurge-worthy spots – and the dishes you shouldn’t miss while you’re there. Tired of toasted ravioli and gooey butter cake? Our New Classics guide will show you how some of St. Louis’ most creative culinary minds are putting modern twists on old favorites – and why you should get up and order them, like, now. Or if you’re simply sick of the same old chicken dishes and want to liven up your daily dining routine, you’ll love our Eat This guide: an ever-expanding collection of dishes we just can’t get enough of (these are the ones we order again and again).
To get started, just visit Foodspotting.com or download the Foodspotting app on your iPhone or Android and follow us. As soon as you’re a Sauce follower, you’ll find all of our guides and be able to “spot” them by uploading your own pictures of our recommended dishes. Take an awesome pic and we’ll post it to our Facebook page to share with thousands of other St. Louis diners. And if you spot all the items in one of our guides, you’ll become a certified Saucer, with the badge to prove it.
We’ll be announcing additions to our guides each month and our existing guides are always growing, so be sure to check back with us to see what new tasty items you need to discover.
