As we first reported last month, the city of St. Louis is planning to give Soulard Farmers’ Market a facelift to maintain this, the oldest market west of the Mississippi River, for generations to come. A consulting firm recently began gathering input from market-goers on Friday and Saturdays at the market, but an online survey is now available. Those interested in voicing concerns regarding the existing market and potential improvements have until July 5 to complete the online survey, posted at soulardmarketsurvey.com. The results of the survey will be compiled in a master plan that is scheduled to be presented to the public in early 2012.
