Happy birthday to Stellina Pasta Cafe, which celebrates its third anniversary today. Look for the South City spot to amp things up in the year to come: A 400-square-foot addition to the front of Stellina’s building at 3342 Watson Road will break ground as soon as weather allows, reports owner and chef Jamey Tochtrop. The project will double the café’s seating, remove the existing long counter and add a full bar; the menu will remain the same, save for a few new dishes. Stellina will be open for business during the project, which Tochtrop hopes will take just a few months. In the meantime, stop by tonight to help Tochtrop and his wife Lisa celebrate with free birthday cake.
