If you’ve dined at The Ritz-Carlton lately and were smart enough to leave room for dessert, we’ll bet that executive pastry chef Simone Faure’s sweet treats left you with a smile (and maybe a chocolate smudge) on your face. With the launch of the hotel’s The Bakery in Clayton, a new retail outlet for Faure’s creations, you can have that happy grin and sugar high all the time. The menu includes well over a dozen flavors of cupcakes, custom cakes, specialty tortes, full- and mini-sized pies and tarts, French pastries, muffins and, of course, Faure’s fashionable edible accessories like chocolate shoes and designer cake purses.
