New restaurants continue to groove in the Grove. Case in point: Flavors BBQ Sports Bar & Grill just opened there at 4317 Manchester Ave. Flavors’ menu features appetizers including fried pickles, various salads and more than a dozen each of sandwiches, sides and dinners (among them the daunting-sounding Pig Out Platter – a full slab of ribs, smoked pork, half a smoked chicken and smoked beef brisket). Consulting chef Craig Basler, who’s overseen the restaurant’s setup, also told us that Flavors (which occupies the former site of Five) should have a full bar in roughly a week and that its Web site should launch soon at flavorsbbq.com. Basler noted also that Flavors sports six big-screen TVs and that its hours run from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
