Just Chicken is spreading its wings in June with the addition of a bright yellow food truck.
The restaurant, located at 5942 Delmar Blvd., in St. Louis, offers up a menu of all things chicken: wings, sandwiches, burgers and more. However, owner Antwann Binion said the truck’s menu will focus on solely on wings, all fried to order on board and tossed in one of six sauces like teriyaki or the sweet-spicy house sauce. Additionally, there will be house-cut french fries and sweet potato fries.
Binion said adding a food truck has been on his mind since he first opened Just Chicken in May 2014. “I first thought of the idea when I was visiting my son in L.A.,” he said. “I saw so many food trucks lined up. I thought it would be feasible to make Just Chicken mobile and expand the business in that way.”
He believes the brick-and-mortar location will benefit from the increased publicity that the truck will provide. “I want to reach more people, especially those that don’t visit the store,” he said.
Binion said the truck will operate in both St. Louis City and County, with frequent stops at corporate campuses like Numotion, Wells Fargo, The People’s Clinic and Ameren. He also hopes to establish stops near Forest Park, Washington University and Charter.
