Karen Hoffman has left her position as executive chef at Cielo, the restaurant at the Four Seasons downtown. According to the hotel’s director of marketing, Melissa Lorenz, last Wednesday was Hoffman’s final day at Cielo before she returned to her hometown of San Francisco for personal reasons.
Serving as interim executive chef is Simon Purvis, a London native who comes to St. Louis from the hotel’s mountain resort in Jackson Hole, Wyo. Lorenz added that a candidate from within the organization is in the final stages of interviewing as a permanent replacement for Hoffman and that the Four Seasons hopes to have the position filled by May.
