Carolyn Dickens, owner of the now defunct Carolyn’s A Matter of Taste in Ladue, has joined the culinary crew at Café Pintxos, which recently opened in the Hotel Ignacio.
Dickens will be giving the Midtown café a “Barefoot Contessa-feel” in the mornings, turning out quiches, pastries, poundcakes and other sweet treats, according to Café Pintxos spokesperson Lori Dolan. The café is also adding lunch hours, serving light fare along the lines of salads, soups and sandwiches. Finally, a few non-tapas items are also being added to the current menu of small plates in the evening. Look for these changes starting next week.
