Mia Rosa, the Italian eatery located at 4501 Manchester Road, has closed its doors. Owner Phil Noe, who opened the restaurant in the fall of 2008, cited slow business as the reason for the closure. This past winter, Noe transformed Mia Rosa into a late-night noshery called Satellite, hoping to attract more foot traffic. Unfortunately, though, the extra hours still weren’t enough to enable The Grove establishment to endure. “It’s a tough economy,” Noe said. “The diner was never really doing well.”
When asked about his next steps, Noe stated that he plans to stay in the restaurant industry but that his exact plans are yet to be mapped out. “I’m not going to give up on the restaurant bussines,” he said. “I’ve been doing it for the last 30 years.”
