Sage’s executive chef Jack W. MacMurray III checked in with the Scoop today to report that he and Sage co-owner John Schute will soon debut Beechwood Bistro By Sage. The new eatery, which will be housed in Union Station, will feature a menu of American comfort foods (aka “Jack Mac food”) and a casual atmosphere. But MacMurray said the restaurant is also a nod to St. Louis’ heritage (hence the name … think “beechwood-aged” beer); the decor will feature old A-B collectibles and local food items such as pastas from The Hill, handmade t-ravs and gooey butter cake. Watch for a March 1 opening.
