120310_noodlesJoey Puribhat is creating a veritable Thai town in the Metro-East region of Illinois. The owner of Basil Thai Cuisine in Fairview Heights, Sala Thai in Belleville and Aroy Thai in O’Fallon will be opening his fourth Thai restaurant soon. Zapp Noodle & Market will be located in O’Fallon at 1407 W. Highway 50, Suite 106 and 107.

Zapp, which means “delicious” in Thai, will serve steaming bowls of Thai noodle dishes in the 30-seat restaurant. The market side will offer a wide variety of oriental products for preparing Cambodian, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Laoation and, of course, Thai cuisines.

Zapp will operate seven days a week, serving lunch and dinner. Not even Mondays off? “If we take a break, we miss that business,” responded Puribhat in true “Thai-coon” fashion. Look for registers to begin ringing at Zapp no later than the first of the year.
